JNEP¨s first sulfur recovery project formally started

Relying on the active corporation between each department of JNEP and also the earnest preparation, the EPC project of 300,000t/year CTEG boiler flue gas ammonia desulfurization device which belongs to Inner Mongolia Cornell Chemical Co., Ltd has been formally started at 8:58am of September 1. Han Kewen, Construction Manager of Donghua Technology Co., Ltd, Jin Guoping, Assistant of the construction manager, Geng Yuming, Installation Chief Engineer, Chen Lei, Installation Engineer, Ti Yunming, Project Manager of JNEP’s Cornell project and relative leaders from Liaoning Chengshi Supervision Co., Ltd attended the commencement ceremony.

The Cornell project is JNEP’s first sulfur recovery project. It is also the EPC contract of both sulfur recovery and desulfurization device which established solid foundation for the development of sulfur recovery market. This project has been divided into three phases, total construction of 300,000t/y ethylene glycol, 360000t/y aniline, 480,000t/y nitrobenzene, 370,000t/y concentrated nitric acid and 120,000t/y synthesis ammonia, currently phase I is under construction.

Flue gas ammonia desulfurization technology has been adopted in this project, there are 3 sets of desulfurization absorbers, treated flue gas of a single absorber is 370,000Nm3/h, desulfurization efficiency is not less than 97%, utilization efficiency of the desulfurization reagent is not less than 97%, the concentration of the flue gas droplet at the outlet of the absorber is not more than 75mg/Nm3. Hofung’s enriched oxygen sulfur recovery technology has been adopted in the sulfur recovery part of this project, treating volume of acid gas is 3,100Nm3/h, sulfur recovery scale is 10.8t/d, designed sulfur recovery rate is not less than 93%, the quality of the sulfur product reaches the acceptable standard. The concentration of SO2 of the tail gas is not more than 10000mg/Nm3, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide and orgnaic sulfur is not more than 10mg/Nm3.
